back on course

The Community School golfers dusted off the clubs for a four-team meet at Carmela Vineyards Golf Course Tuesday. It was the second outing of the season for the Cutthroats and the first in four weeks.

Host Glenns Ferry won the meet with a four-man 310 paced by medalist Kyle Brown’s 72. Kimberly was second at 319 and Ketchum/Sun Valley finished third with a 372. Fourth place went to Gooding at 379.

One of the highlight’s of the day was Andy McGrew’s (Kimberly) hole-in-one on the ninth.

Reed Boeger was low man for the Cutthroats with an 82. Christian Cairncross shot 85, Regan O’Reilly 95 and Alex Dembergh 110. In the girls’ competition, Rachael Becker carded a 66 over nine holes.

"Reed and Christian came in pretty disappointed to shoot 82 and 85. They are that good that when they fall apart they shoot what everyone else would love to," coach Harry Weekes remarked. "I was very pleased they were disappointed with themselves.

"Overall, everyone looked pretty good," he added.
