What if Goldilocks were arrested
for breaking and entering?
In this day of bizarre
lawsuits—just consider the guy who took a dog to court for
trespassing—the classic children’s story might have actually been
written that way. It’s called teaching junior the real facts of life.

Addressing these perplexing, and
humorous, concepts is Company B in association with St. Thomas
Playhouse, which presents the junior company’s production of "The Trail
of Goldilocks" Friday, March 12, through Sunday, March 14, at St. Thomas
Episcopal Church in Ketchum.
Also performed on those dates by
the Senior Company is "Choices." The performances are 6 p.m. on Friday
and Saturday, and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
"Goldilocks," with music by Robert
Chauls and libretto by Joseph Robinette, relives the so-called crime
against the three bears, albeit with a twist. The courtroom comes alive
with song and dance as both the Bear family and Goldilocks retell their
sides of the classic story.
The play is appropriate for all
ages, choreographer Sara Gorby said. Musical direction is by Peter
Kowitz and the play is directed by Andrew Alburger, as is "Choices."
Written by young playwrights at
the Walden Theatre, in Louisville, "Choices" is a collection of
monologues and scenes, which address teen-centric subjects.
Both plays were cast from Company
B’s ranks. A nonprofit program, Company B meets after school. Children 9
to 18 participate.
Tickets are available at St.
Thomas Church on the day of performances or by calling 726-5349 ext. 13.
