Five SV5B swimmers competed this past weekend at the annual Idaho Falls Spook Splash Swim Meet.

The small contingent was minus their teammates who are currently swimming in regular high school swim meets.

Nevertheless, the five began the regular fall season with four first place and nine second place finishes, competing against 250 athletes from Wyoming, Oregon, Idaho and Utah.

All five swimmers bested times in each of their respective events.

Racheal McGinnis, 12, nailed first in the 100 and 50 Free, and second in the 50 Breast, 200 Free and 100 IM.

Niels McMahon, 11, claimed second in the 50, 100 and 200 Free, and the 50 Fly.

Tristan Tanner, 13, won first in the 200 and 500 Free.

Melissa Becker, 12, had an excellent swim for second place in her first ever 500 Free.

Esther Williams, 11, won second in the 200 Free, third in the 50 Free, and fourth in the 100 Free.

Melissa Becker, 12 – 10^th, 100 Free (1:13.61), 2nd, 500 Free (7:29.93), 12^th, 50 Free (33.69), 13^th, 50 Breast (45.68) 6^th, 200 Free (2:42.95), 10^th, 50 Fly (42:93).

Racheal McGinnis, 11 – 1^st, 100 Free (1:01.32), 1st, 50 Free (27:85), 1^st, 50 Breast (39.61), 2^nd, 200 Free (2:19.63), 4^th, 50 Back (35.59), 100 IM, (1:13.78).

Niels McMahon, 10 – 2nd, 100 Free (1:13.32), 2nd, 50 Free (31:41), 3rd, 50 Breast (43.37), 2^nd, 200 Free (2:44.01), 2^nd, 50 Fly (42:15).

Tristan Tanner, 12 – 3^rd, 100 Free (1:04.51, 1^st, 500 Free (6:17.06), 6^th, 100 Breast (1:30.81), 1st, 200 Free (2:19.72), 4th, 100 Back (1:16.41).

Esther Williams, 10 – 4^th, 100 Free (1:15.41), 5^th, 100 IM (1:30.01), 3rd, 50 Free (32.80), 8^th, 50 Breast (45.46), 2nd, 200 Free (2:50.15), 8^th, 50 Back (42:04)
