Vicki Dick was on fire last weekend during the Wood River Women’s Bowling Association’s city tournament at Mountain Sun Lanes, Bellevue.

She rolled a personal-best single game of 267 and a personal-high three-game scratch series of 662. Not surprisingly, Dick won singles by a bunch, shared the doubles win with Jolene Stone and also captured all-events scratch and handicap first-place cash.

The winning team, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," symbolized the general feeling of the 42 women who competed.

On the Bellevue-based first-place team (3018 pins) were Kelly Cole, Laurie Wolfley, Leslie Ward, Tami Wintle and Lauren Schaefer. In second was ArborCare (3008) from Hailey with Linda Rowe, Cathy Showalter, Jacki Collett, Vicki Dick and Jolene Stone.

And a relatively new bowler, Rachel Verwold, was excited when she bowled her first turkey!
