Carey Panthers gridders make All-League
Great seasons do not happen without great players and Carey’s success on the grid was reflected by six Panthers being named to the North Division’s All-League team Monday.
First-team picks were Destry Simpson at running back and safety. Shawn Hennefer was also All-League offensively and defensively at punter and safety. Offensive linemen John Saili, Kole Peck and Bryson Ellsworth were first team selections. Robbie Ellsworth was honored for his play at linebacker.
Second-team picks were Shawn Hennefer (running back), Robbie Ellsworth (end), Blake Surcrus (center), Seth Adamson (linebacker), Kole Peck (defensive end), and Stephen Jurgensmeier (defensive end/kicker).
Seam Cenarrusa earned Honorable Mention for his play at quarterback.
