Honor Society
inducts 52 students
At Wood River High
Fifty-two
Wood River High School students are new members of the Philip T. Homer
Chapter of the National Honor Society.
They were
officially inducted Wednesday, May 22 during an evening ceremony in the
high school auditorium.
During the
induction the NHS fulfilled its pledge of community service by giving a
$2,000 check to a local charity.
The money
was raised by NHS members while working during lunch, National Honor
Society advisor Jean Bohl said.

The
National Honor society rewards scholarship, leadership, service and
character. Students must have a cumulative 3.5 grade point average to be
eligible for membership.
