State and U.S. Forest Service protect Stanley Airport from development

Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne (front seat) was given a tour of the runway at the Stanley Airport yesterday in a vintage biplane as aviator Bob Danner piloted. The plane sliced through a ribbon in a celebration of state and federal success in protecting the airport from future development and ensuring that Stanley maintains air access. Arts and Entertainment

  • Politics at home
Few small Idaho counties face the challenges and opportunities that Blaine County does, where explosive growth has created changes not always to the liking of residents.

  • Social pressures and the independent person

The Idaho Mountain Express is distributed free to residents and guests throughout the Sun Valley resort areas. Subscribers to the Idaho Mountain Express will read these and other stories  in this weeks' issue:

  • Bellevue tables Voicestream lease again

  • Ketchum considers downtown area rezone

  • NEPA scoping process to collect issues
