Suspected driver found in Cody Boyd fatality
Shoshone resident comes forward; DNA tests performed on truck tire
flap
Hailey police believe a 1989 blue Freightliner, pulling two flatbed trailers, was the
vehicle involved in the fatal collision with 9-year-old bicyclist Cody Boyd on the morning
of July 12. For nearly a week, the two attached trailers, above, have been parked at a
roadside trucking service station on Interstate 84 about 10 miles east of Twin Falls. The
trailers have been the subject of intense law enforcement scrutiny. Express photo by

Zone now, not later
Blaine County needs to prepare itself for the possibility that the Bureau
of Land Management may sell off lands in the county.
Be water smart
The local skies are smoky from fires elsewhere in the state, but the tap
water is running. But don't be fooled. The water is no assurance the valley will not face
more extreme impacts from the intense drought this summer. It's hot, tinder dry, with no
relief in sight.
