Haileys Bill Josey, owner and operator of ArborCare
Resources Inc., has been named president of the Idaho Nursery Association (INA).
Joseys selection was made during the INAs annual convention
and trade show Jan. 20 in Boise. His term lasts through Jan. 2001, then he stays active on
the INA Board of Directors through 2002.
He has served on the INA board for seven years. In that time Josey has
headed up committees including financial, membership, convention, professional awards,
promotion and member benefits.
The INA is a statewide association that includes nursery operators,
landscapers, garden centers, arborists, horticulture and educators, as well as other
groups involved with the states green industry.
Josey is a certified arborist who specializes in tree and shrub
management.
He has a BS in Forestry Management through North Carolina State University
where he served a co-op with the North Carolina Forest Service in the tree improvement
department.
After graduation he moved to Boulder, Colo. to rock climb. To support his
activities he began his work as an arborist in Boulder where he was a working supervisor
in all aspects of the tree care industry.
Bill and his wife, Kris, left Colorado in 1992 to move to the Wood River
Valley. He ran Webb Landscapings south valley operations prior to starting ArborCare
Resources Inc. in 1997.
Currently, Josey holds the title of Idaho State Tree Climbing Champion, a
competition he won in 1998 and 1999. He intends to defend his title in May 2000.
