1998 Twilight Jazz Series Opener the Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Humanities series begins at 6:30 p.m. at River Run Lodge featuring blues pianist Gene Harris joined by daughter Niki. THURSDAY

4th of July T-shirts and Rodeo Tickets available through the Hailey Chamber. The shirts are available for $14 for adult sizes S~M~L~XL, $15 for adult XXL, and $12 for child’s sizes M~L. Color options are forest green, pebble brown, white, daffodil yellow, ash gray, and stonewash green. Part of proceeds benefit the Mallory Art Photo Collection for future exhibitions. Hailey "Days of the Old West" Rodeo first of three days of the Hailey Rodeo sponsored by the Sawtooth Ranger Riding Club at 7-10 p.m. at the Hailey Rodeo Grounds on Friday and Saturday also. The Wood River Lions Club will offer hot dogs, pop and beer at their two concession stands during the rodeo. Local bull riding starts at 7 p.m. with riders from the valley. The rodeo has been expanded to three nights to give more riding time to contestants, and to provide you with more chances to enjoy the rodeo and all the excitement. Miss Days of the Old West personality and poise competition at 10:30 a.m. at Hailey Grange Hall, with horsemanship at 3:30 p.m. at Hailey Rodeo Arena.

Warm Springs 4th of July Tennis Tournament the 25th annual holiday tournament at Warm Springs Tennis Club in Ketchum begins with singles and doubles action in Open, 5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5 and 3.0 classes. Spectators welcome. 726-4040.

Sun Valley Ice Show starting at dusk with headliner Katarina Witt at the Sun Valley Lodge. Tickets: 622-2231.

Hailey Antique Fair with over 100 antique vendors from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at Roberta McKercher Gateway Park in front of the Hailey Armory. Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. also.

Antique Peddler’s Fair with booths lining the streets of the Warm Springs village with a large collection of wonderful items. Thru Sunday.

Blue Haven Antique Fair offers a large collection of antiques and collectibles from all over the West under the big shady trees in front of Blue Haven Antiques, just South of Dean Tire, Ketchum. Starting at 10 a.m.

Ketchum Indoor Antique Show 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the nexStage Theatre. Admission is free. Saturday, same hours, and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., also.

Donna Howell-Sickles one woman exhibit showcasing her most recent works of her mythical cowgirl. The exhibit is 6-9 p.m. at the Kneeland Gallery in Ketchum.

"Days of the Old West" Shoot Out" with crooks and lawmen gunnin’ for each other before the parade at 11:30 a.m. on Main Street in Hailey. Details: Lexie Anderson at 788-4728.

West Magic Recreation Club celebration at noon including a boat parade, B.B.Q., crafts and a baked goods action. Details: 487-1202.

"Revisiting the Pioneer Spirit" Parade at Noon on Main Street in Hailey. Sponsored by the Hailey Chamber of Commerce there will be buggies, mule trains, antique cars, and floats along with many local families and kids, along with Grand Marshals Rose and Bill Mallory will be a part of this event. Come early to get a good seat because this parade boasts an attendance of over 5000 people.

"Pioneer Spirit’ Button Barbecue 1:30-4 p.m. at a new location on the County Courthouse lawn in Hailey. Hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, watermelon, pop, and beer will be served. Buy a button for only $5 from the chamber to pay for this big ole meal. Live music by the Eddie Haskell band will set the tone for this popular event.

Ice Cream Social/Open House 1-4 p.m. in celebration of Roberta McKercher’s birthday by the Ezra Pound Association at the Ezra Pound House in Hailey. Details: Mary Anderson at 788-2071.

Miss Days of the Old West contestants in the 1998 contest sponsored by the Sawtooth Rangers Riding Club will ride in today’s parade and then appear to sign autographs from 3-5 p.m. at The Lonesome Cowboy, Hailey. Announcement of this year’s royalty at tonight’s rodeo.

Hailey Fireworks Spectacular 10 p.m. sponsored by the city of Hailey, the Hailey Chamber, Bruce Willis, and residents of the Wood River Valley. The show will be choreographed to music broadcasted over FM 104.7 KIKX.
