Ketchum Air proposes Boise to Sun Valley serviceBy AMY SPINDLER Local pilot Leo McIntosh hopes to fill the gap Horizon Air left when it discontinued its Boise to Sun Valley service, the only flight between the two cities. McIntosh owns Air Ketchum, a licensed air-taxi service that operates on demand. McIntosh is working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the federal Department of Transportation to offer scheduled flights between Boise and Sun Valley each day. A company must receive governmental approval to offer more than five scheduled round-trip flights per week. McIntosh may offer two round-trip flights two days a week until his plan is approved by the FAA and the DOT. McIntosh hopes to offer the flights at $100 one way, with discounts for locals who purchase a certain amount of tickets.
