Telemarkers Gussy Up For Big Finale Spring skiing and riding on Baldy received its usual Hawaiian Nationals jolt of energy and creative costumes Saturday on a beautiful afternoon for the final event of the Sun Valley Telemark Series. There were 47 participants in the telemark and snowboard categories. Back on Baldy was the human slalom challenge, where the snowboarders and telemark skiers took turns weaving down Warm Springs through human “gates.” The telemark Elite men’s winner with the best single run was Neil Persons, a telemark legend in and around Big Mountain and Whitefish, Mont.
