They were four of 166 guests invited to the celebration. Sun Valley Co. opened its doors with a gala opening in the Lodge Dining Room in 1936 under the ownership of the Union Pacific Railroad. Bill Norris first dined in the room when he was 10, in 1947. In the 1970s, Tom Heinrich worked in the Duchin Room lounge, where Gretchen’s restaurant is now.
