Skoch Cup Racers Blast Down Baldy Scorching the second run of Saturday’s Formula Sports Skoch Cup giant slalom on Baldy’s Lower Warm Springs ski run is eventual winner Carl Rixon Jr., 31, a coach for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Skoch Cup overall men’s winner Rixon won both heats of the 86-racer Intermountain Masters GS, the first run by .29 seconds and the second run by .66 seconds over the next-fastest racer. More than 100 racers ranging in age from 18-85 took part in the three-day, 17th annual race series under sunny skies.
