NEWS UPDATES:

New Snow Welcomed

While many locals were on their way to work at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, Ron Trent, above, had already been working for a while cleaning snow at the Jones Building at the corner of Fourth and Main streets in Ketchum. Three inches of powder on Baldy was welcomed by skiers and boarders after an early winter of little snow. The National Weather Service is declaring a winter storm watch from Ketchum to Stanley in effect from tonight through late Saturday night with the possibility of 8 to 13 inches of new snow and hazardous winds sustained at 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
