NEWS UPDATES:

Easy Victory In Fall Classic

Miles Fink-Debray, center, jogs to victory near the summit of Bald Mountain on Saturday in the 35th annual Baldy Hill Climb. Fink-Debray’s time of 36 minutes, 41 seconds was five minutes faster than the second-place finisher, 14-year-old Henry Raff, not pictured. This was Fink-Debray’s seventh victory in the last eight Baldy Hill Climb competitions. Including the 12 kids under 11 years old in the Kinderclimb, 147 participants hiked, raced or biked and raced up the heart of Bald Mountain on the Warm Springs side. Fink-Debray said he motivates himself positively during the hill climb with thoughts such as, “Dig deeper, ramp it up, relax. I’m having a great day. I do not feel any pain and it’s almost over.” Photo by Willy Cook
