NEWS UPDATES:

Point Them Down And Go

More than 300 youthful ski racers participated Sunday in the 57th annual Kindercup at Dollar Mountain, a competition open to non-sanctioned racers through age 12. Sponsored by the Papoose Club, this year’s event was dedicated to the memory of Alice Schernthanner, the driving force behind the race and promoting skiing for Wood River Valley youngsters. Appropriately, Alice’s grandson Espen, above, won the 3-year-old boys category with a speedy time of 14.80 seconds. Eighteen boys and 13 girls competed in the 3-year-old class.
