NEWS UPDATES:

For The Love Of The Trails

Nordic skiing supporter and mountain goat enthusiast Nappy Neaman gives a warm greeting to a furry friend at the Blaine County Recreation District’s 17th annual Galena and the Trails winter benefit, held Saturday night at Sun Valley Resort’s Limelight Room. Neaman offered as a silent auction item a day trip for 10 people to join him on a mountain-goat-viewing excursion north of Ketchum. The item sold for $845. The sold-out affair attended by some 400 people grossed about $190,000, a slight increase over last year’s event. “The net monies raised support the maintenance of Galena Lodge and the north valley trails,” said Recreation District Development Manager Megan Stevenson.
