Ice Magic Boise big rig mechanic David Mariscal pulls a 15-inch rainbow trout from the icy depths of Magic Reservoir on Sunday afternoon. Many fishermen were on the ice Saturday reporting good fishing in the reservoir, though fishing was slower Sunday with milder temperatures and the associated barometric change. The reservoir is slowly filling after being drawn down to accommodate dam repairs. Judging by the depths of the fishermen’s holes through the ice, the ice was between 4 and 14 inches thick.
