A Gourd Of A Good Time
Wood River Valley resident Lily Enos, 9, prepares to catapult a small pumpkin during the second annual Pumpkin’ Chuckin’ event at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden south of Ketchum on Saturday. More than 200 people participated in the competitions, which rated contestants’ pumpkin-shooting distance and accuracy. “[It] was a huge, smashing success and a fun way to spend a day,” said Stephanie McCord, interim executive director and event organizer. “The biggest hit was the 10-foot splatter wall where over a ton of pumpkins were catapulted against it.”
