NEWS UPDATES:

Release The River

Water pours through the dam gate at Sun Valley Lake on Saturday, feeding already-swollen Trail Creek. With an early spring runoff bolstered by recent rains, Idaho rivers, creeks, lakes and springs have been flowing at high rates and causing concerns about flooding. So far, Mother Nature has released water slowly enough to avoid flooding in recent weeks. However, the National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a “hazardous weather outlook” for the region, predicting strong winds and significant precipitation in the coming days. Photo by Willy Cook
