NEWS UPDATES:

Ribbons Come With Thoughts Of Hope

In honor of missing Wood River Valley soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Christine Willich, left, Penny Weiss, center, and Marcee Graff tie bows of yellow ribbon Tuesday on the pasture fence that runs along Sun Valley Road between Ketchum and Sun Valley Resort. The three women said they tied nearly 400 bows in recognition of Bergdahl, a Hailey-area native who was captured by Taliban enemy forces in 2009 while on Army duty in Afghanistan. Internet videos that show Bergdahl in captivity have surfaced since his capture but his whereabouts and condition are not known. “We want that young man home so we don’t have to do this again next year,” Weiss said. “We want the real Bowe.”
