Winter Has One Last Gasp
Elk move up a hillside above Penny Lake west of Ketchum Wednesday morning, after the front end of a wet winter storm dropped several inches of snow in the region. By Thursday morning, the storm had brought 9 inches of new snow to Bald Mountain. At lower elevations of the Wood River Valley, however, the precipitation came in the form of steady rain, causing flooding in low-lying areas of Bellevue and the Bellevue Triangle.
