NEWS UPDATES:

Passenger Bus Collides With Car

Wood River Fire & Rescue crews work to extricate two passengers in a Toyota Camry that was rear-ended by a Mountain Rides bus late Tuesday morning on state Highway 75 north of Hailey. Wood River Fire & Rescue Chief Bart Lassman said reports indicated that the Camry slowed down to allow another vehicle to turn left off the highway when the bus hit it from behind, pushing the trunk 2 feet into the back of the car. Lassman said it took crews 20 minutes to extricate a 32-year-old man from the vehicle, who was later transported to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center with possible head and neck injuries. The car’s driver, who Lassman described as a woman in her mid-60s, was also transported to the hospital along with two patients from the bus who reportedly had minor injuries. Additional details were not available Thursday. Photo by David N. Seelig
