ITD shelves most Highway 75 expansion

Anticipated loss of federal funding precludes finishing road project

Don’t expect traffic congestion to ease in the foreseeable future on state Highway 75 in Blaine County. The Idaho Transportation Department conceded this week that funding to complete a 27-mile, $250 million expansion project is not likely to be available because of anticipated cutbacks in federal highway dollars.
