Latin Rhythms Heat Up Hailey Jose Galeano, a percussionist and vocalist for the 10-member Grammy Award-winning band Grupo Fantasma, warms up a cool summer evening in Hop Porter Park in Hailey on Thursday, June 16, to kick off the Sun Valley Center for the Arts’ summer concert series. The spicy and groovy sounds of the band’s multi-ethnic influences had concert attendees moving and shaking. Grupo Fantasma, a Latin funk band from Austin, Texas, played in conjunction with College of Southern Idaho’s Summer Spanish Institute, which ended on Friday, June 17. The Avett Brothers, Rickie Lee Jones, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and Colin Hay will round out the series on July 13, Aug. 2, Aug. 15, and Sept. 18, respectively. Express photo by Roland Lane.
