Trick Or Treat?
Snow-covered peaks in the Boulder Mountains glisten in the sun Friday afternoon. The first real snow of the season occurred in the mountains near Ketchum Thursday night, during a hard-driving rainstorm that soaked the Wood River Valley. With below-average precipitation forecast for the next three weeks, the prognosis for an Indian summer into October is good. Pacific Ocean currents will likely determine how deep mountain snowpacks get this winter. Photo by Willy Cook
