Swine Pride
Second-year 4-H animal show participant and Carey resident Zina Hatch brings her pig, Leon, to the sale ring Saturday at the Blaine County Fair. Zina won Grand Champion Quality in the swine category. Nationally, 4-H members are 6 million strong and are represented in every state. The 4-H organization is an agriculture association that seeks to build character, citizenship and community pride in young people. Locally, about 150 kids are active in the program. More than 50 participated in the annual market animal sale during the fair, held each August in Carey. Photo by Willy Cook
