Country star Garth Brooks plays with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony iCountry star Garth Brooks plays with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in a benefit concert on Sunday, Aug. 1, at the Sun Valley Pavilion. The attendance for the concert, which included symphony staff and volunteers, was 5,600 people, filling the Pavilion to the outreaches of the outside lawn. Lawn patrons were able to view the full performance on a 14-by-25-foot LED screen held high in the sky by a crane. In a guest appearance, Brooks’ wife Trisha Yearwood came out to sing with him in “In Another’s Eyes” and “Walk Away Joe.” Brooks performed songs ranging from Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried” to Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson.”
