NEWS UPDATES:

Grinding It Out At Galena

Racers navigate the dusty route in the eighth annual Galena Grinder Whit Henry Memorial Race at Galena Lodge north of Ketchum on Saturday. Racers of all ages and experience levels were pitted against each other to persevere against Galena's steep climbs. The event offered cyclists four different mountain trails to choose from, including a brutal 45-mile Marathon race. Here, Bill McCann (432) maintains a short lead on fellow Ketchum rider Dan Daigh (404) in the early stages of the 17.5 mile cross-country race. On the far right is John Koudelka of Idaho Falls, who would place third in his division in the 22.5 mile cross-country course. Photo by Willy Cook
