NEWS UPDATES:

Heading For Greener Pastures

A Lava Lake Sheep Co. herd of about 2,000 sheep meanders north toward Ketchum on Saturday afternoon before cruising through town early Sunday morning. The annual pilgrimage marks the beginning of summer, as the woolly critters are pushed to more verdant grazing grounds in the mountains to the north. Guard dogs, herding dogs and shepherds accompanied and directed the sheep along their route. Photo by Willy Cook
