Blaine Ranchers Reach Hall Of Fame
Robert and Kathryn Gardner, shown here beside a pond on their Bellevue Triangle ranch, have been inducted into the Southern Idaho Livestock Hall of Fame. The award has been given for 51 years in recognition of outstanding service in the promotion and general welfare of the livestock and agriculture industry of southern Idaho. Robert and Kathryn are the third generation of the Gardner family to operate the family ranch south of Bellevue. In addition to raising several types of beef cattle, the couple has grown alfalfa, peas and malt barley for Coors beer. They recently turned over ranching operations on their property to the Purdy Family of Picabo. “There is quite a farming community down here,” said Kathryn. Photo by David N. Seelig
