Charges dismissed against cousin in hypothermia death

Father of child bound over to district court for further prosecution

Kenneth Quintana, left, and Robert Aragon had difficulty at times controlling their anguish Friday at preliminary hearings for the men in Lincoln County Magistrate Court in the Christmas Day hypothermia death of Aragon’s 11-year-old daughter. Involuntary manslaughter and felony injury to a child charges were dismissed against Quintana, Aragon’s cousin, while Aragon was ordered bound over to district court for further prosecution of the same charges.
