Bellevue's Haunted Forest Scares Hundreds
The First Annual Haunted Forest of Bellevue drew more than 700 people for guided tours through the dark side of Bellevue history Wednesday and Thursday nights. Ghouls and ghosts from the Minnie Moore and Queen of the Hills mines, Chinese workers and opium sellers, and members of The Black Jack Ketchum gang joined in the mayhem. The meadow on the west-side of the Bellevue canal became a graveyard. A ship-wrecked pirate ship foundered on the banks of the Big Wood River.
