4-H projects train kids for the future

Blaine County Fair provides a showcase

"Farming for the Future,"” was the theme of the 2008 Blaine County Fair Aug. 6-9 at Blaine County Fairgrounds in Carey. Local kids involved in 4-H learn quite a bit about working with livestock and they take great pride in displaying their projects during the Blaine County 4-H Market Animal Sale. Here, Angela Ellsworth, 13, a Carey School eighth-grader, shows her sheep Lucy during Saturday’s sale. Angela is in her fifth year in 4-H and she has shown sheep all five years. Check upcoming Mountain Express editions for county fair results. Photo by Willy Cook
