Homegrown Racer Triumphs In Tour

The Wood River Valley was bursting with pride Saturday when homegrown cross-country ski hero Mike Sinnott, 23, of Ketchum, won the 33rd annual Wells Fargo Boulder Mountain Ski Tour on the 19.8-mile course north of Ketchum. There were 722 finishers on a sunny morning that offered a window during the week?s relentless snowstorms. Here at Prairie Creek, Sinnott, left, sets the pace for the strongest-ever Men?s Elite field that included eventual runner-up Leif Zimmermann, 24, of Bozeman, Mont., who is right on Sinnott?s heels.
