NEWS UPDATES:

Full Moon Fever

A nearly full moon rises over Dollar Mountain Monday night, as seen from West Ketchum. Although calendars marked Tuesday, Jan. 22, as the full moon, much of the United States observed the moon as "full" on Monday night. According to Native American lore, the January full moon, or Wolf Moon, symbolizes cold temperatures, lots of snow and hungry wolves roaming a stark, mid-winter landscape. In the Northern Hemisphere, the first full moon of the year travels in a high path across the sky. Photo by Willy Cook
