Skiers Flock To Chilly Slopes
A smiling skier heads down the right side of Ridge on Bald Mountain Thursday. Sun Valley Co. ticket sales staff said nearly 5,900 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes on Bald and Dollar mountains over the course of the day, accounting for the biggest crowd so far during the still-young 2007-2008 ski season. The crowds were spread around Baldy's expansive terrain, resulting in no substantial lift or food lines. Temperatures have been cold, but the skiing, most agree, is excellent. Photo by Willy Cook
