NEWS UPDATES:

Rollover Totals Toyota

A Thursday afternoon rollover of a Toyota Tundra pickup on state Highway 75 south of Bellevue slowed traffic and prompted a response from the Blaine County Sheriff?s Department and a Wood River Fire & Rescue ambulance unit. Fire & Rescue Lt. Paramedic Ron Taylor said two people were involved in the accident, one treated and released at the scene and the other transported to St. Luke?s Wood River Medical Center for treatment of a head laceration. Taylor said the vehicle was northbound and drifted off the east side of the road, where it took out about 50 feet of fence before rolling several times and ending up on the west side of the highway facing south. ?It probably rolled at least two times,? Taylor said. Both occupants were wearing seat belts. ?Consequences, I think, would have been a little bit different. Seat belts do save lives.? Photo by David N. Seelig
