Mother Nature Heeds The Call

Hailey resident Dave Anderson walks a freshly cleared path along East Avenue toward Atkinsons? Market in Ketchum Tuesday morning, after two back-to-back storms dropped approximately a foot of snow on the Wood River Valley Sunday and Monday. The first sight of powder incited rumors that Bald Mountain, background, would open early for skiing. However, Sun Valley Co. officials said Tuesday that opening day is still scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23. Numerous cross-country ski trails north of Ketchum are open for skiing.
