'Wagons Ho' Rides To Schools

Carey School fourth-grader Lilli Nicolosi proudly displays a souvenir she made with a branding iron during the annual "Wagons Ho" school outing Wednesday. Idaho history came alive for fourth-grade Blaine County students during the hands-on history lesson at Hemingway Elementary School in Ketchum. The re-enactment of pioneer life was designed to enable students to relate Idaho history to the actual experiences faced by pioneers in the West. Photo by David N. Seelig
