The rink next to the Sun Valley Lodge will light up with Christmas cheer at approximately 5:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, when the resort presents its free "Christmas on Ice" show, during which Santa Claus will join local skaters in a 20-minute program. Sun Valley's Christmas Eve festivities begin at 5 p.m. on the Sun Valley Lodge terrace, as carolers sing classic holiday songs. After the ice show, at approximately 6 p.m., the Sun Valley Ski School will lead a torchlight parade down Bald Mountain. The celebration will end with a first-class fireworks display.
