NEWS UPDATES:

As Drivers Slide, Skiers Glide

Riley Fritsch, a sales associate at Main Strip T?s in Ketchum, clears more than a foot of snow Tuesday morning from the store?s sidewalk bordering Main Street. As a long-awaited late-autumn storm pounded the Wood River Valley Monday and Tuesday, car accidents and slick road conditions occasionally brought traffic in and around Ketchum to a complete halt. Skiers and snowboarders, however, were rejoicing. The storm dropped approximately 20 inches of powder on Bald Mountain, allowing Sun Valley Resort to open numerous ski runs that have been closed because of a lack of early-season snow.
