All Creatures Great and Small

The Blessing of the Animals took place Sunday, Oct. 3, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ketchum and was attended by all creatures great and small, from dogs to rodents. Two hermit crabs, Mr. America and Hermie, were blessed by the Rev. Brian Baker and Rev. Wendy Collins, as well as a guinea pig, a cat and dozens of pooches. The opening hymn, ?All Creatures of Our God? induced a cacophony of howls from the four-legged attendees. The processional of pets was in the sanctuary and was made in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Photo by Willy Cook
