RESULTS

View Point 18, Color Haus 9

View Point turned out to be the star of the marquee matchup. The Point took advantage of the upper field, belting 24 hits, including nine for extra bases. Leading 4-2, the Point plated three runs in the third with two off Nelson Drewien?s homerun for a five run advantage. It wasn?t until the fifth frame that Color Haus got its first consecutive hits of the night. Twyla Bulcher (2 hits) and John Rathfon (3 hits) reached base and Brian Burrell (2 hits) belted a homerun to bring them all around to trail 11-5. The Pointers ensured the win by scoring six runs in the seventh. Hoss Schmidt roped a grand slam and Drewien knocked his second homerun of the night. View Point (24 hits): Schmidt 4 hits (GS/HR/3B), 4 runs. Georgia Hutchinson 3 hits (2B), 3 runs. Jeff Sarchett 3 hits (2B), 2 runs. Rod Watson 2 doubles, 3 runs. Wendy Hosman 2 hits, 2 runs. Color Haus (17 hits): Jeff Burrell 3 hits (2B). Bonnie Burrell 3 hits. Lars Hovey HR/2B, 2 runs. Josh Jacobsen HR.

Lefty?s 18, Sawtooth Club/Roosevelt 3

Just like a kid on a playground, Lefty?s was swinging away. The Sharks belted 18 hits and scored 10 runs in the first two innings and run-ruled the Roosevelt by the fifth. Lefty?s (21 hits): Frank Salvoni 4 singles, 2 runs. Dave Hausmann 3 hits (HR/2B), 3 runs. Bryan Speth (HR/2B), 2 runs. Diane Johns 3 hits (2B), 2 runs. Wendy Speth 2 hits (3B), 2 runs. Nicole Buchwalter 2 hits, 2 runs. Sawtooth (8 hits): Pat McGee HR/single, 2 runs. Bryan Shea 2 hits, 1 run. Warren Christiansen 2 singles. Sara Parker single.

Casino 20, Firefighters 10

KFD must have felt a false sense of security, leading 5-0 after two. Matt Zachary?s 3-RBI homer in the first got the wheels rolling. The proverbial wheels fell off in the third when Casino rattled the bats, belting eight hits, including two homeruns, a triple and two doubles. The Casbah outdistanced KFD with 15 runs in the third and fourth to lock up third place and finished up with a whopping 28 hits. Casino: Brenda Griffin 3 hits (2B), 3 runs. Matt Stacey 3 hits (HR/2B), 2 runs. Craig Morse 3 hits (3B/2B), 3 runs. Jerod Ball 3 hits (2 doubles), 2 runs. Jill Morse 3 hits (2B), 2 runs. Joyce Fogg & Dave Penn 3 hits each. KFD (14 hits): Matt Christian 2 hits (3B/2B), 2 runs. Keith Potter 2 doubles, 2 runs. Karly Maratea 2 hits, 2 runs. Lindsey Vanbramer 2 hits, 1 run.

East Ave. Bistro 19, Cellar Pub 16

One of the best game?s The Cellar has played all season. Trailing 19-8, The C-Team came back with an 8-run, 8-hit fifth and was threatening with runners on first and second before the Bistro nabbed the final out. A 7-run fourth by East Ave. gave them just enough of a cushion to win. Bistro (21 hits): Mike Davis 4 hits (2 doubles), 3 runs. Jim Carlson 4 hits (2B), 3 runs. Julie Swenke 2 singles, 3 runs. Amy Wright 2 hits, 3 runs. Mary Mansfield 2 hits, 2 runs. Butler Ball 2 hits (HR). Cellar (19 hits): Harrison McArthur 3 hits (HR/2 doubles), 1 run. Jake Roha 3 hits (2B), 2 runs. Amy Harris 2 hits (2B), 3 runs. Mary Griffin 2 hits, 1 run. Chris Harrington 2 homers.

Pioneer 21, Whitehead Landscaping 15

This one would have played well in Las Vegas. The Pioneer swatted 21 hits and scored 21 runs to bank the win. Swingers! The biggest hit of the night was leadoff man Jesse Sheue. Sheue went 5-for-5 (triple/2 doubles) and five runs. Playing Dean Martin to Sheue?s Sinatra was John Faghelli with a 4-for-4 performance. Pioneer (21 hits): Brian Bligh 3 hits, 1 run. Jamie Menges 2 hits, 1 run. Whitehead Landscaping (18 hits): Jim Bradley 4 hits (triple/2 doubles), 2 runs. Eric Palmer 3 hits (3B/2B), 3 runs. Jules Gardner 3 hits (2 doubles), 2 runs.
