Where do I vote?

Locating polling places is easy

By GREG MOORE
Express Staff Writer

Voters who need to find out their polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, can easily do so by going to the Blaine County website, www.co.blaine.id.us. Click on “County Departments,” then “Elections.” Scroll down to “Where do I vote?” Then type in an address, and the precinct and polling place will appear.
In general, polling places are as follows:

  • For Sun Valley: Sun Valley City Hall.
  • For Ketchum and county residences north of East Fork Road: Hemingway Elementary School.
  • For Hailey and county residences north of Hailey but south of East Fork Road: Community Campus.
  • For Bellevue and county residences south to about Glendale Road: Bellevue Elementary School.
  • For Gannett, Picabo and county residences south of Glendale Road: Silver Creek Convenience Store in Picabo.
  • For Carey: Carey City Hall.

Voters must provide a photo ID or sign a personal identification affidavit. Acceptable forms of photo identification include an Idaho driver’s license or photo identification card, a U.S. passport or federal photo identification card, a tribal photo identification card or a current student photo ID issued by an Idaho high school or college.
People who need to determine whether they are registered to vote can go to the Elections Department on the county website and scroll down to “Am I registered?” Registration closed 24 days prior to Nov. 4 but will reopen for Election Day. A photo ID and a document showing a current address within the precinct are required to register.
Voters in Blaine County will have the opportunity to make choices on numerous candidates for public office, including those running for governor, the state House of Representatives, the state Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and the Bellevue City Council.
