Golden Eagles bring strong moves to Hailey

CSI men’s basketball here for scrimmage

There was plenty of big-bodied traffic in the paint and high-flying athleticism Wednesday night when first-year coach Jared Phay brought his 2014-15 College of Southern Idaho men’s basketball team to Hai-ley for a fundraising pre-season scrimmage. Phay has 16 fresh-men on his 17-player roster including 21-year-old Abdou-laye Harouna from Niamey, Nigeria. Shown here flying down the lane for one of three first-half dunks during the scrimmage, Harouna is a 6-5, 195-pound shooting guard. The shortest CSI player was 6-0, and there were three 6-10 players. Donations benefited the Wood River High School boys’ bas-ketball team. The Golden Eagle men start their season Oct. 31 at the two-day Hilex Poly Invi-tational tournament in Twin Falls.
