Itís time for new leaders in Bellevue

It’s definitely time to elect new City Council members in Bellevue—ex parte communication is one thing but to be dismissive of your constituents is another. To hear the non-committal answers in regards to existing Bellevue businesses and improvements to Main Street   commerce at the recent Pizza and Politics, regardless of the pending annexation was appalling.
To be told that “Bellevue has never had a busy downtown” made my heart sink. As a Bellevue business owner for 25 years, I remember a very busy Bellevue. I have never felt so detached and abandoned by our city leaders than with this standing council. That’s way it’s time to elect new leaders—people who will show the way forward, not side-step issues by placing blame on past decisions.
By electing Bob Leahy, James Stireman and Craig Wolfrom, they will bring new life and new ideas to the table, they will work hard for us all. Showing people you care and are willing to listen to their ideas and opinions is a step in the right direction. They are not against growth in Bellevue—quite the opposite, they are for well-planned growth that will improve and enhance the quality of life for its people and their town.
