Road runners on the move for “Meals on Wheels”

Sixty-eight runners came out as the Senior Connection of Hailey staged its fifth annual Road Runner 5k (3.1-mile) fun run/walk on a beautiful Saturday morning in Hailey. It raised funds for Blaine County’s only “Meals on Wheels” program. Special prizes went to the first-place man and first-place woman (Dave Keir and Julie Carney), first senior runner (Grace Dyck), and the first runner under age 18 (Alexandra Begley). Among those runners pulling away at the start were, from left, Begley, Carney, Keir and Gadrie Edmunds.
