Go Hawaiian for Saturday’s “Roadrunner”

Meals on Wheels benefit in Hailey


     The theme is “Hawaiian” for the fifth annual Blaine County Senior Connection “Roadrunner” 5-kilometer fun run/walk Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. from the senior center in Hailey. Sign up at 10 a.m.

     A prize will be given for the best Hawaiian costume. Proceeds go to the senior center’s Meals on Wheels program that is so important to senior citizens and disabled adults.

     Day-of-race entry fees are $30 individuals, $20 youth. The fees include the barbecue lunch, water and sodas.

     Raffle prizes include three $500 Atkinsons’ gift cards, a Tanara steel string guitar from Music and Me, and golf for four from Sun Valley Resort.

     Kimberly Coonis of the Senior Connection said, “If you don’t want to run or walk you can come on down and have lunch with all of us and buy raffle tickets for a chance to win fabulous prizes.”
